
Leadership Project
My family's business is growing faster than management can predict and manage. The company has figured out how to grow the business, now we need to solidify the HR management practices. Most importantly, we need to implement regular processes focused on employee growth and development. By focusing on employees and tracking their growth and productivity, we will have the data necessary to track growth and plan for increasing personnel as needed.
Without individual and department productivity numbers, we are missing a key piece of the equation in trying to evaluate and plan for future growth. Through this leadership project, our company will begin to create and monitor individual goals and productivity metrics to provide clear expectations and coaching for employees and to evaluate overall business success. Future systems can be implemented by using the metrics for each department to create incentive systems or bonus guidelines.
My plan has two parts. The first, is to revise our review system and the second, is to implement a performance metrics system where employees and managers can track productivity to evaluate performance.
